Apartments thread

(See the hotel and apartment information page for overview of lodging options)

So you think making Toledo your center of operations might be a good idea? We do too!

There’s a few apartments that we visited which were frankly quite nice. Madrid is a quick train ride away (it takes me just as long to head over to Berkeley every day!) and you can make it to many places via Metro from the Atocha train station that the AVE high speed train will leave you at.

So, what you waiting for? Start telling people what you are looking for, which apartment looks interesting to you, how many nights you would like to stay, etc.

You can do it here or in private, but make sure to ask us questions in the blog so that we can answer them for everybody.

Here’s a few questions to get going:

  • Who wants to share an apartment?
  • How many nights are you planning to spend in Toledo?
  • Have you called any of the places we’ve listed and they are already booked?

Any others?

We’re not going to be able to stay that long there–unfortunately–grad school starts for me on the 26th. And because of snow days school doesn’t get out until the 18th. So we’re thinking of flying on Thursday or Friday and leaving the folllowing Tuesday. We’d like to keep costs as low as possible. I know you guys sent out a whole list of hotel recommendations that we have yet to look through. That’s pretty much where we’re at.

What are you planning for the days directly after the wedding?

And also, what are you planning for the days right before?

    Can’t wait!!

So for the days directly after there will be a recovery day (Monday) with some relaxing coffees and hanging out, a see-off-my-family-day (Tuesday), and a bunch of relax-with-friends-for-as-long-as-possible days (Tuesday-following Monday?).

As for the days before the wedding, I’m going to do a day with my girlfriends on either Friday or Saturday, depending on when people can arrive (hopefully by Friday so we can be more relaxed, I’m expecting Saturday to be more filled with family obligations). Then we have a bunch more little surprise things planned which will be optional if people feel like it on the days before the wedding, including maybe a pool party, breakfast with us, drinks and dinner out the night before the wedding…those are the ideas at this point. For sure we’re going to have stuff planned Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    I’m so excited!!
